Editorial Policy
The principles guiding how Newsut aims to select, report, edit and publish content.
Accuracy and verification
Our editorial aim is to check material facts against reliable sources before publication. Where a claim cannot be independently confirmed, the uncertainty should be made clear. We seek primary documents and on-the-record sourcing when practical.
Independence
News and opinion should be clearly differentiated. Editorial decisions should not be dictated by advertisers or sponsors. Material conflicts of interest should be disclosed where relevant.
Attribution and transparency
Reporting should identify sources where appropriate, attribute quotations and images correctly and avoid presenting speculation as established fact. Articles should show publication and update information.
Fairness and responsible reporting
Coverage should consider context, avoid discriminatory framing, protect vulnerable people when warranted and provide a fair opportunity for response when serious allegations are made.
